I'm starting with with amazing wedding that was featured on Love and Lavender last week! Here's a little bit from the bride, Evan:
"Paul and I met through friends in high school and started dating on Valentine's Day in 2005.
While Paul was in his basic training for the marine corps in 2010, the only form of communication we could have was letters (which we wrote every single day for 3 months). I remember that the first letter from Paul said "start picking our wedding colors because I can't wait to marry you". I responded with Aqua and Navy( I love blues) and it stuck!
Years later, November of 2012, at the marine corps ball Paul proposed. (He's a smart man because he knew I would be upset if it happened when my nails were not done, and I was already be dressed up for pictures). I was so surprised and the moment was perfect.
Then we started planning! I grew up on the water boating with my family since I was a baby. Paul and I love to vacation on cruises, and we go out on my dad's boat with the family almost every weekend in the spring summer time, so when deciding on a theme nautical seemed perfect!
Together we worked on many DIY projects. I had my dad build the boat wagon for the kids, and the homemade bamboo alter was cut down from my dad's neighbors yard. My very good friend, Mary, made our wedding cake, and there were many late (but fun) nights with my mom making table runners and other decorations. In the end, it was so exciting seeing everything come together just as I had pictured!"
This was such a special day and I can attest to all the love felt by family, friends, and Paul and Evan!
